Michael earned his bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences with an Emphasis in Anthropology from Concordia University Irvine in 2022. After taking a year off from school, he is attending Baylor University in hopes of researching the sociology of meaning, specifically, how human beings create, change, and maintain meaning in their lives. He is also interested in the ways in which the pillars of identity (race, gender, SES) bind together to create individual and collective meaning.
As a first-year graduate student, he looks forward to building community with fellow students and faculty at Baylor. Additionally, he hopes to develop the skills that will allow him to teach sociology in the university setting.
