Diversity and Belonging

Sociology equips students with the tools to analyze the social aspects of human life and contributes to a deeper understanding of diversity and belonging. Our department fully supports the university’s efforts to enhance diversity and belonging across campus, including efforts by the College of Arts & Sciences. We also recognize the challenges that social contexts can present to students' academic journeys and are aware of the systemic barriers that may impact the path to completing a degree.
