Diversity and Belonging
Sociology equips students with the tools to analyze the social aspects of human life and contributes to a deeper understanding of diversity and belonging. We also recognize the challenges that social contexts can present to students' academic journeys and are aware of the systemic barriers that may impact the path to completing a degree. For a range of student services, please visit Campus Resources.
To discuss diversity- or belonging-related issues that may arise within the Department of Sociology, please contact the Chair of our department Diversity and Belonging Committee, Dr. Jodien Johnson, or our student representative on that committee, Liz Deere.
