Biography
Dr. Jodien Matos Johnson teaches courses in introductory sociology, research methods, marriage and the family, environmental sociology, and applied sociology. Previous to teaching at Baylor she worked as a research analyst and research director in the private sector. Her research during this time was largely client driven and concentrated in the areas of economic impact studies, consumers in mass market retail, and product development. Other research interests evolved from foundation and non-profit sector work focusing on domestic minor sex trafficking as well as adoption services through the US foster care system. Since coming to Baylor, Dr. Johnson's community work and research interests largely revolve around food insecurity in the United States.
