Anastasia McSwain

Biography
Anastasia earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Sociology from Carson-Newman University in 2022. While at Carson-Newman, she cultivated her knowledge of biology, sociology, as well as psychology which grew her passions for health and society. Anastasia wrote her undergraduate thesis on abortion and motherhood which covered the double standards society places on mothers compared to fathers and childless females as well as ways to decrease the number of abortions without banning them and why banning abortion would be harmful.
Some of Anastasia’s research interests include gender, mental health, and social psychology. She is looking forward to further developing her research skills during her time at Baylor.
